FLOSS.social has blocked all known IP addresses and domains owned by Facebook/Meta/Instagram/Threads from accessing or interacting with this instance, due to extended history of violations of our Community Code of Conduct.
This block is consistent with our ongoing practice to disallow traffic to/from instances that allow or support human rights abuse via their platform(s). See, among other sources:

@admin I mostly access floss.social from my phone so I just noticed this. It's regrettable that the action goes beyond defederating threads.net - I work on #FLOSS pretty much full time, and this means I cannot use floss.social when I happen to be on the corporate network at all.
I respect the admins' decision on this but I might end up using my other instance more
@michel_slm We recommend using a VPN to connect to our service from any network connections owned by Meta.
@admin you can also exclude our corporate IP range. But thanks for that recommendation. It doesn't work because I work from home and already have to use a VPN to access work sites.
I could use a Tor browser to access floss.social I guess but at this point I think a different instance that is more inclusive might be a better choice.
@michel_slm Thanks for clarifying that you can still access the instance.
As mentioned above, our Code of Conduct does not and will not accommodate corporations that facilitate large scale extended human rights abuse.
If you find this policy to be non-inclusive, we encourage you to find a more appropriate Fediverse home and hold no hard feelings. Best wishes!
