TIL github has atom feeds for releases of things, e.g. github.com/haileys/tangara-com

I have no idea how you're supposed to find feeds without thinking "I wonder if there's a feed for this" and doing view source and searching for "rss" or "atom" in the raw html

@emily Well… there was an era where browsers would use rel=alternate and display an RSS icon in the location bar.

@lanodan I mean, "grumpily run firefox 2" is also an option, but that seems even harder

@emily Yeah… I tend to launch elinks or lynx to grab those.
@emily And I'd add the RSS discovery stuff in my own browser but webkit-gtk is a bit of a labyrinth when it comes to querying the DOM so I tend to run out of interest before actually doing it.

@lanodan @emily My solution here ended up being quite hacky...

Part of what drove me to write my own!
