I think the whole concept of servers is very confusing for people new to the Fediverse in general. That's why I try to use "community" as a rough proxy for "server". Still, it's a difficult concept in general for people used to centralisation in everything (me included).

Yes, that's a good strategy. In fact, further on, "community server" can be a helpful proxy for "instance"
