#dar 16/ I almost forgot performance. dar is multithreaded, in both compression and encryption, for all algorithms (it will compress by block, with a configurable block size, when multithreaded.) Finally, it has a remote target that can run over ssh and let dar request and receive specific chunks of a dar archive located on a remote system. It also integrates libcurl, so can operate over #sftp and all sorts of other protocols directly as well.
