As long as there is no in-place upgrade with elementaryOS I will stick with LMDE and/or Mint (I employ both).
@PC_Fluesterer It's a downside, for sure. They are working on it though, and there is a guide on how to upgrade without losing files - still a bit of a hassle compared to a tidy, in-place upgrade though.
