I was excited to finally go back to the movies last night to see the latest Mission Impossible movie in #IMAX because I figured it would be a great first movie back for me since covid.
I got to sit through an ad about how movies are meant to be seen in theatres, a thank-you message from Tom Cruise and director about being in a theatre, and other references to how much better movies are in theatres.

... no, it was not a better experience than watching at home. I have a large screen in my living room and a 4k DLP projector. I have a well-balanced 7.1 audio system and comfy couch. More importantly, I don't get to listen to 200 other people chewing popcorn at home.
How do I feel about my $18.75 ticket to see Tom in IMAX? I should've just waited and bought the movie on Blu-Ray. Better investment. YMMV.
