I recently converted an old Acer Travelmate 5744 to and found the same difficulty in halting/rebooting I found with Debian 12 and kernel 6.1. The laptop tends to simply reboot instead of powering off or hanging forever. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? I could impute that to an ACPI issue, but I have no idea of possible source of such kind of regression...
