This is sadly not on par with the developer experience using #VisualStudio with #wpf
It's one of those debugging features that every WPF developer is used to, and frankly, it's indispensable when working with large WPF applications.
I guess VisualStudio does still have features not available in #rider (yet). 
@drechsler I'll let the team know it's something we should work on.
