Oddworld series is a series of platform games combining action, puzzles and humor, set on the eponymous planet where different species live together. The most intelligent are the Glukkons - focused on profit and exploitation, and the Mudokons - focused on harmony with their environment and other species. The first 2 opuses (Abe's Exoddus & Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee) follow Abe, a Mudokon, as his species is enslaved by the Glukkons. Discovering that his food factory is going to include Mudokons in its ingredients, he flees and tries to save his people... R.E.L.I.V.E. is an open-source engine, compatible (with the first 2 2D opuses, released in 1997 & 1998), and improved (multi-platform, support for modern hardware, numerous bug fixes, etc.).
