as of today we shipped exactly 444 MNT Pocket Reforms to @crowdsupply
Is there anyplace where you are keeping a tally of the #MNTReform variants shipped in the wild?
I wondered about that a lot recently, when working on support in #Guix ... but only for the most part able to test on a MNT/Reform2 rk3588. It would also help give a sense of which platforms to even attempt to support.
A precise total would be awesome, but even rough numbers would sate my curiosity!
@vagrantc you mean classic reform only, and which processor upgrades have been shipped for it?
Well, all the different types and possible permutations ...
X reform classic motherboards (v1, v2, v3?)
Y pocket reforms (models x, y, z?)
Z reform next (...)
imx8mq cpu modules (permutations?)
imx8mp
fsl-ls1028a
meson-g12b-bananapi-cm4
rk3588 (16gb, 32gb?)
Just to at least get a rough sense of the plausible permutations of the various systems in the wild. Does not need to be exact or anything. :)
@vagrantc @mntmn I have a (naturally totally biased) list of users of the #mnt-reform IRC channel and which hardware they have because I tend to always forget this information. According to that small sample of Reform users, we have 20% pocket reform with imx8mp, 10% pocket reform with rk3588, 13% classic reform with a311d, a whopping 60% classic reform with imx8mq and one heroic user of classic reform with rk3588: you. This is a bit more than 100% because some people have more than one device.
