This analogy is completely broken.

There is no market for init systems (or whatever systemd is)

systemd isn't an end product

nothing competes with systemd

But also and this is more personal :)

1. Cars suck
2. I wouldn't mind if everybody drove the same safe car
3. I don't have a driving license
