If you had to choose
How should we document CSS properties and animations for GTK?
#GTK #GNOME #development #Linux

@QuadRadical this!
I answered "static on the web" though what I really mean is "on the web, in devhelp and with executable examples (for example in Workbench)."
@sonny@floss.social I'm no developer, but I recently found it strange that some documentation seems to be easily accecable through the web, but only with some searching and trying being available for good offline use.
I voted for workbench hoping that this way the documentation will easily be available for offline use.
@me Everything works offline by design in Workbench
If the Web version was part of the GTK4 doc for example, it's also possible to have them offline.
See https://github.com/flathub/org.gnome.Devhelp/pull/17/files
It's not ideal so we're also working on offline documentation viewer in Workbench.
@sonny Both, but I would prefer to have interactive examples on the Web, maybe similar to MDN. Having a separate app to quickly lookup something instead of the already opened browser could be quite distracting to the workflow.
