Is there anyone from the community living in Berlin with a working battery who would be willing to help me booting and updating my device once? Unfortunately my battery is dead and I haven't found out how to quickly get a new one - however IIUC it would boot without battery once updated to a newer firmware (forums.puri.sm/t/librem-5-does).

Edit: Thanks for the help, looks like I'll get a battery from or @agx

The main reason I'm asking is that just landed their softwareISP and it should be quite easy to make it work for the - which would allow all apps supporting cameras - e.g. or based ones - to use the cameras on the device. And I'd like to help make that happen, but just need a working device for that :)

@rmader This is so important feature that @purism should help with that. 😀

I don't live in Berlin any close sadly. Fingers crossed get this working.

@zdenekj @purism The good news is that in this case it's a two-way street: we know that the librem makes quite good pictures and the viewfinder AFAIK runs well on the weak hardware. So the challenge will be: make libcamera take similar good pictures - and make Snapshot (Gnome Camera) perform similarly well.

Having that ironed out should be really helpful once we get cameras to work on more devices with the softwareISP.
