My dad used to repair TVs and he remembers the time when for each TV you could get the schematics so that he could repair them at his shop.

When was the last time you bought a computer that came with schematics?

Finally my LS1028A arrived today!

@josch in EU, at least, it will be enforced by law "soon".

@josch Last computer I had with complete schematics (and ROM listings!) was my Apple ][+. I wish I'd kept those manuals.

@josch same with my dad. The city's main library had volumes of collected schematics & repair manuals for radios & TVs. That was 4 decades ago though.

@josch 30 and something years ago I bought my first zx spectrum clone, that was with schematics. It was first and last time, before I bought MNT reform laptop and Librem5 phone, both with schematics.

@josch , I got schematics with pdp-11/84 and when I bought Amiga2000 in 1990
