This week in (TWIF):

- Fennec (our Firefox fork) was updated to version 134. Mull however won't get this update, so it's time to switch browsers
- Katawa Shoujo: Re-Engineered was re-engineered
- RetroArch is now easier to onboard
- Syncthing was finally archived, but Syncthing-Fork got an update
- WG Tunnel is now reproducible, which unfortunately means a re-installation on your side
- Some more news about Wikipedia, Element and NClientV2

@fdroidorg will you get #LibreWolf anytime soon? I'd very much appreciate it :)

@fdroidorg is there a plan for #IronFox ? ATM i install it directly from github...

@scops@social.tchncs.de @fdroidorg@floss.social IronFox uses an own f-droid repo afaik. Should be on their Gitlab.

> In related apps, did you test Element X yet?

I would love to, but @element treats us paying customers like a dirt, so Element X will probably never work with one.ems.host. Pity.

@mcepl @element ou should try to get aquainted with ElementX faster (or maybe SchildiChat Next) because Element might go away sooner than you want. Do read github.com/element-hq/element-

Hmm, then perhaps they will hopefully switch to new server soon. As of now, the sliding auth is still not available on one.element.io.

@fdroidorg It's a shame Fennec doesn't add back the option to have traditional tabs. It's the one thing holding me back from switching.

@LiamGilmartin Since `about:config` is accessible maybe you can enable them? What's the name of the setting?

@fdroidorg I did a bit of searching and apparently there's no option to restore that view. Having said that I understand that it's probably not something a lot of people are asking for, and developers have to prioritise to avoid bloat. I'm using Kiwi on mobile atm which is Chromium based, but does allow extensions. It's supposed to be FOSS but I've seen people saying it isn't.

@gorwell79 @fdroidorg Is there a way to use it without an app? (I know the fork exists). Just seems a bit mad when a huge percentage of users use the app.

@tripplehelix @fdroidorg the official app is unmaintained, use Syncthing-Fork instead

Just FYI, In the linked post, your RSS link is not an RSS link. I was able to find it with getrssfeed.com, but still.

Also, I've tried Element X. Best thing I can say about it is I can find it in my app drawer a lot easier than fluffy/fuzzy/whatever it's called chat. My biggest hang up is (to use the Discord term as I forget what Matrix uses,) there only being rooms, and no servers makes it difficult to figure out what rooms belong to what groups. Otherwise, it's nice enough.

@Tourma Apps that we tested like Capy, Feeder or Readrops will pick the feed just fine. We will look at improving it.

@fdroidorg
I mean like, this is the link I get when I click the "RSS Feed" on, "Please subscribe to the RSS feed in your favorite RSS application to be updated of new TWIFs when they come up."
f-droid.org/en/news/
not
f-droid.org/feed.xml

It is interesting that GetRSS didn't find the link, (It scans sites and gives the link if there is one, even if it's hidden. Like on news sites,) where I found it at the bottom of the .../news/ page.

Once I found it, Thunderbird accessed it fine.
