Truth Social used Mastodon's code without crediting it, whilst simultaneously claiming it was their code and claiming copyright on it:

@downey@floss.social doubtful. pretty sure that, despite both of them running on code that can support federation, neither Gab nor Truth Social will ever federate
(Gab did federate in the past, though. it was the first big fediblock)
