#FreeSoftware is generally a public good: It can be used and reused infinitely.
But #FreeSoftware communities aren't public goods; in this model they'd be a "common pool resources" & need care and feeding to last.
Just as parks lose value if not maintained, #DigitalPublicGoods lose their value in the same way.
It's not enough to make lists. We must support those making #OpenSource public goods.

Post-breakfast #FOSSY thoughts:
Any discussion, programs, or work about #sustainability of #FreeSoftware or #OpenSource that doesn't center the individuals impacted by it, is missing the mark, and has a good chance of being a "wolf in sheep's clothing" that is either deliberately or inadvertently giving more priority to supporting those with more socioeconomic privilege.
Let's all work to redirect conversations to make a better world for people.
