GIMP is now 27 . And with the end of the year, time of giving and donations, it is also a good time to remind that sustainable development can be achieved by funding the developers of the software.

@GIMP Happy 27th Birthday!
@GIMP Congrats! <3 <3 <3
@GIMP nice name...on opposite day
@GIMP Spent quite a bit of time working with GIMP this evening. It's taken some time to learn, but it's been well worth it. I find it GIMP to be a powerful and useful raster graphics editor.
@GIMP Happy Birthday!!!
@GIMP Happy Birthday!
@GIMP dudes, I can't google for images made in your program without getting NSFW stuff.
And genuinely, as I have written many, many art tutorials, I cannot ever recommend you because of your name. I can't write a you tutorial because I don't think anywhere respectable would publish it, and I wouldn't want to junk up my tutorial with slurs anyway. It just shows you don't care about onboarding young artists as much as you care about keeping a silly name.
@GIMP As gimp 3.0 is coming .Will there be any User Interface change in gimp???
Because current interface is not so modern and will there be any new window template screen on starting of new project like inkscape , Adobe apps or other popular graphical tools offer ???
@thisisanik The simple fact that we ported to GTK+3 makes the whole interface much more modern looking. Now the global layout concept still stay the same.
As for a "new window" screen, we have a welcome screen (which will likely evolve more), only at the first run after an update, but so far it is not planned to have a dialog opening at each and every start.
@Polychrome @thisisanik Sure. That's why we focus on the "better" part and we let the toolkit (GTK) developers improve the "modern" part as they see fit.
