@9to5linux I'm surprised @archlinux doesn't have 6.13 yet. Could be bad mirrors some things take time. NixOS unstable has probably had it for longer @nixos_org
@zstg @archlinux @9to5linux @nixos_org yup https://nixpk.gs/pr-tracker.html?pr=375250
Even backported to 24.11 https://nixpk.gs/pr-tracker.html?pr=375263
Though there's been some follow-up fixes: https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pulls?q=is%3Apr+is%3Aclosed+6.13
The main thing is you can fairly safely try it and roll back to the previous version if it doesn't work yet.
I'm taking https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/20250120-module-hashes-v2-0-ba1184e27b7f@weissschuh.net/ for a spin, that is fairly simple (though rebuilding the kernel takes a while ) https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/251159#issuecomment-2612809862
@zstg @archlinux @9to5linux @nixos_org over a week on CachyOS already EDIT: and Void btw
@peppe Arch still doesn't have 6.13 in the stable repos
@zstg there's a how-to on the CachyOS site to add their repo's ;-) But my guess is it will arrive in stable by this weekend? Hold on
Edit: btw, neither does Slackware Current yet, and they are verryyy up to date as well.
Have they fixed the issue where polkit isn't set up by default and you need to use the root password to configure printers in KDE?
