Psst! A new version of Workbench is out.
If you've been wanting to play with #gtk, now is a good time.
https://flathub.org/apps/details/re.sonny.Workbench
Highlights are
• Fully sandboxed
• An improved previewer
• 18 new library entries
• Use GNOME SDK 44
Thank you to all new contributors, specially #GSoC and #Outreachy applicants.
@sonny thanks for the update. I am a newcomer with gtk development. Is there anywhere a decent tutorial that shows best use case and interaction between workbench and Gnome Builder. How can I effectively develop a simple app with workbench and builder? I know that workbench is for the ui and not so for the logic. Nevertheless I would love to see a nice tutorial to learn from.
@iradraconis There is nothing about Workbench & Builder yet.
My suggestion:
1. Create a project from a template in Builder
2. Setup Blueprint https://jwestman.pages.gitlab.gnome.org/blueprint-compiler/setup.html
3. Whatever UI you do in Workbench, you can paste in your Builder project
@sonny Congrats on the release!
@sonny
I can't find a new demo button
@TeddyDD what are you trying to do?
You can simply edit an existing demo.
@sonny
I assumed it's a prototyping tool so I can create and save new file/project/demo
@TeddyDD I see. It's not supported yet, but it's coming. Until then, you'll have to copy/paste in and out.
