The way some websites inform their users about cookies reminds me of this conversation from the Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy:

@sigsegv I'm fascinated with the way some things are changed between the British and American. While I am American, I was in London when I was first exposed to the Hitchhikers Guide. I actually stumbled reading this since the copy I've read over and over says "torch" instead of "flashlight".

@whami Hmm, interesting that they decided to "translate" that word. But I'm more amazed by the fact that you know this book so well that you even noticed the difference 😅

@worldsendless Ah yes, the cameleon button! It's always the smallest button on the whole page/email, and the colour makes it fade into the background so it becomes nearly impossible to find.
