Yesterday we removed a mod called "Windows Borderless" which was found to contain malware.
If you are a Windows user and are one of the 372 people who downloaded and used a mod called "Windows Borderless", you are at risk. More info available here: https://blog.modrinth.com/p/windows-borderless-malware-disclosure
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: This mod is called, *exactly*, "Windows Borderless". There are other mods with similar names on Modrinth, which are NOT malware, such as "Borderless Mining", "Borderless", and "Borderless Mining Reworked"
@modrinth at least one website , 9minecraft.net also hosts this mod . I have sent an email to the contact email on their website to inform them of this situation
edit : ru-m.org is another website that I found the mod on , but have been unable to contact them .
@minekpo1 @modrinth both of those sites are in the stop mod reposts list, i very much doubt you'll get anything from their staff considering they tend to just yoink mods from everywhere they can with no curation in an attempt to get as much ad money as possible from people who don't know any better.
stopmodreposts.org/sites
@minekpo1 FWIW the webhook is deleted, so none of your data will be sent to the attacker if you run the mod.
@modrinth@floss.social did it at least do what it promised
