@michel_slm almost came to the right conclusions, but his own ideology stepped in to push him towards advocating for censorship… -_-
@Locksmith TBH it's more lack of familiarity with federated alternatives. We're getting him up to speed!
Also if you consider the internal audience at Facebook, advocating for better moderation is an easier sell than doing that for federation. Despite FB pretending to be innovative it tends to follow its peers so I bet if Twitter is actually serious about federation FB might then follow, but not before
@michel_slm how did you read this and come away with federation? I mean, i agree with the the idea that social networks should be more federated and there should be more alternatives (i mean, i am here), but i never got that he was thinking about that or that he would encourage that as a solution to his problem. infact, it sounds like he wants things as centralized as it can be, but with his rules so noone can say what he considers bad things.
