@forgejo No Matrix user here, but I installed the release candidate some time ago to figure out an issue (unrelated to the new release). Works wonderfully well. I’ll try the rootless variant later 
@forgejo Update: It was a bit rough to start it up, but I was successfully able to deploy the rootless release candidate of 1.20 with my original data (database, users, repos, etc.) and configuration (changes to templates, paths, etc.). My “beta instance” now run a freshly deployed, rootless 1.20.0+3-rc1 version.
@forgejo I couldn't find any guide for migrating from running gitea docker instance
