@downey Mastodon as developed is extremely reactive.
Remember, they didn't make sign-up's approval-only by default until recently, after spam waves from servers older than the dinosaurs! (And those servers are likely still vulnerable!)

- Admins are notified about new stable / unstable version / security fixes in the admin interface, for example.
@downey Aren't these tools for users though? These don't seem like admin tools but individual user tools for self Moderation.
