I just set up a Lemmy instance for #KDE contributors :) https://lemmy.kde.social/ #lemmy
Now it's time to start a KDE Lemmy client :)
@carlschwan@floss.social Yes please! I'd love to see this happening!
@carlschwan Maybe something for both Lemmy and Kbin? I'm probably expecting too much in thinking maybe they have OpenAPI specs.
@sfunk1x They both don't seem to have a lot of API doc at the moment. When working on Tokodon, I really appreciated the amount of API doc that Mastodon has and how stable the API is. Lemmy just announced a brand new API based on HTTP instead of websockets
@carlschwan I would download it myself as I use KDE
@cityboundforest Don't hesitate to also checkout @tokodon :)
@carlschwan cant wait!
@carlschwan
Or just build upon the KDE RSS reader ?
@carlschwan oh yes please!
@carlschwan I am trying to follow the community from my Mastodon account in the way the website suggests, but I can't see it. Should they be interoperable?
@dylanchapell Seems to be a recent regression as @liaizon pointed out in https://social.wake.st/@liaizon/110595203029942099
@carlschwan I still don't get the point of Lemmy, what does it do?
@carlschwan woops, i just registered and then saw this post saying it's for contributors, feel free to discard my application
@ridge I approved it, I want to keep the size of the instance (and cost) in check but since the instance is very new that is not yet an issue :)
@carlschwan cool, thank you! :D
@carlschwan why didn't you choose kbin?
It's name starts with a K!
@carlschwan
Seems that Lemmy is too "modern" for Angelfish, threads doesn't open with it .
@carlschwan I can never ever ever ever sing up for Lemmy. No matter what I do, hitting the "sign up" button doesn't do shit. With or without email, nothing happens. My username is unique. Password is there. Answered the "why are you joining this server" question. Nothing. Why? Why is it hard to sign up?
@carlschwan Unfortunately, it cannot be accessed (404 error) via the main kbin instance (kbin.social) yet.
