The thing that motivates me to continue writing software is seeing how much damage it is causing to the environment & society, and hoping I can push back against that!

And do so humbly. Because I get quite annoyed at devs saying "you must embrace this, it is The Future!" Especially in relation to blockchains where this callous attitude can actively harm others financially.
