Reminder: The Web isn't universal, or at least as universal as it could easily be. And its open standards don't mean much when only Google has the manpower to implement them all.

Sure it's ethically better than the other mainstream platforms, but that's a low bar! So, sure, target it as a stopgap. If you want something better, build an alternative or promote your favourite Linux distro.

I'll be building a Web that's truly universal, relying on external efforts to obtain feature parity.

@alcinnz I wish more developers bear this in mind and at least make sure everything works on Firefox (and Safari/Epiphany/etc) - and also with JS turned off
