Google/Microsoft/Apple's push to make all software "cloud"-based seems really anti-user to me. Setting aside any privacy concerns, it makes software inconveniently slow and gives me more passwords to remember!

I really notice this when comparing Apple's AppStore (a "hybrid" web/native app) to elementary's AppCenter (an offline AppStream-compliant database).
