I'm so happy with XMPP. There is only one thing that annoys me. I have some contacts with iPhones and no iOS app seems to get OMEMO encrypted private group chats right. :/

I just recently discovered XMPP (Element). There's just no one in my environment who uses it.

j/k, I'm currently using Signal for most communication although I'm pretty active on Matrix (using Element). I truly believe that Matrix is the the future but as most open projects it has an adoption problem.
