GUI has made computing a mass phenomenon
you're being a bit too fast in condemning it, in my opinion
just because GUIless tools are good for you doen't mean they're good in general

@abbienormal @parasurv But Emacs is GUI too, not only text tool. For me, it's the most interesting of Emacs, you can use it wiht GUI and Text Mode. but for example in the GUI version you can do things that you cannot do in text mode.
