Correcting a misconception I'm seeing debated in my mentions:
Linux-based systems don't require you to use the commandline. They aren't any harder to use than if you're switching between Windows & Mac!
Though there are self-righteous people to ignore who assume that you came to Linux for the commandline.
Could we do better? Sure!
But its hard for us to trust that social-media hearsay is reflective of the current state of our projects.
@alcinnz Windows forces users to use the commandline.
It isn't that hard to get it to give an error message akin to: "Unknown thing went wrong, please run <commandline tool> for any useful information"
My OS knowledge is limited, but I'd presume "commandline under the hood" is ubiquitous. Any OS that didn't include one would have devs adding one to feel at home.
