@Fratm Lots of people started hating Proton after Andy Yen "praised" the US republican party.

Honestly, I am somewhat disappointed with Andy and the reaction that the community had.

Yes, he said bold things on Twitter, but people seem to ignore the fact that Proton AG is now owned by a nonprofit foundation.

@Gabriel @Fratm BS. The org is entirely under his control (e.g. he tweeted from the org account not his personal one) and an org that's supposed to be protecting vulnerable people being run by a fascist is a non-starter.

The Proton AG board of trustees is Andy and his friends. There is no meaningful protection there.
