It's almost 5 o'clock on a Sunday, daughter tells us she needs to do a science experiment for homework, due tomorrow, and needs alcohol.
We got alcohol, but not that kind of alcohol...
Here's the result of Sunday's school science project on chlorophyll chromatography. Quite satisfying really.
In the end, the whisky wasn't enough . We got some rubbing alcohol from the Sunday supermarket, as well as some coffee filters for the paper strip, and some spinach for the leaves.
Not bad for a Sunday night rush job.
@AdamBishop It sounds like 2 of you are going to need the alcohol you DO have on hand...

@fletch You can see chlorophyll a and b, xanthophyll, and carotene - it's lovely in fact!
@AdamBishop yep, did it in first year Uni back in the 90s. Now it’s primary school. Ok so we did it a bit more precisely but so much knowledge in the kitchen
