@9to5linux no, it isn't. the Fedora Asahi remix (not Fedora KDE) is using it for post-install initial setup. the install process is different. please read https://fosstodon.org/@marcan@treehouse.systems/111007133072456808 .
edit: also, that post is about the Fedora Asahi *remix*, which is its own thing, not the official Fedora KDE live spin, which is not affected by this at all at present.
Treehouse MastodonHector Martin (@marcan@treehouse.systems)@jbouter@fosstodon.org You can't configure disk layout at all other than split with our current installer, because we install pre-baked disk images. We're only using Calamares for first-boot setup. I can't speak for distros that choose Calamares as an installer, and I've never used its partitioning features.
@9to5linux thank goodness. The default Fedora installer is a UX nightmare. Calamares will make onboarding much easier for newbies!
